Multipurpose WordPress themes are not good for your shop and users because they are bad for conversions, insecure, confusing for buyers and hard to maintain.

What we see as a website is only the tip of the iceberg. Every single website or blog has a complex underlying structure that consists of numerous code sets necessary for the operability of a website.

Everything about the web is about seconds today. One second can mean increased conversions of a website or blog. The other way around, conversion rate can become bounce rate if site visitors are curbed by an unresponsive, unfocused, slow-loading site. The skill of creating and maintaining websites became art a long time ago.

Every time an Internet user opens a website nowadays, he or she can feel as if they are visiting the largest museum of visual works ever made. Heavy and Impractical Architecture

If a team of visual designers and web developers decides to make a website from scratch, they work together to come up with feasible solutions. The natural way is that developers implement the visual ideas devised by web designers. However, many businesses, online shops and individuals have neither time nor money for such a demanding procedure. In lieu of that, they simply use WordPress multipurpose themes.

The main advantage of these templates is that they behave like all-round players in basketball. Yes, Magic Johnson was a terrific know-all player, but even then things can go wrong and it’s something you shouldn’t allow your business to go through.

There is one feature that unforgivingly reveals all the advantages and disadvantages of every web novelty – user experience. You may have just got an all-inclusive WordPress theme, brimming with all sorts of widgets and plugins, but the main juror for all these features will be your visitors and buyers.

The largest problem when it comes to multipurpose themes is our hunger for feeding them with many unnecessary functions. Overburdening your site with plugin functionality will slow down the responsiveness of your website. Moreover, it will eventually result in longer loading time, which nobody on the Internet today has patience for. It would be a paradox to lose visitors because of a few seconds loading stall caused by a popup.

Heading to the minimalist realm

If multipurpose WordPress themes should be avoided, if you want a successful and attractive WordPress shop and quality WordPress themes, what is the solution? Like in many other areas, everything depends on your targets and goals. But the trend these days is implementing minimalist and common-sense ideas.

There are still many fresh valuable WordPress themes offered by WordPress that can improve the visual appeal of any site. The point is in opting for straightforward themes that will entice your target audience. Unburdening your website and its themes will ensure the easy flow of visits and stays on your website. Here, less is more if presented in a concise and user-friendly way.

Multi-responsive site approach

As already mentioned, the buzzword of today’s net is responsiveness. This does not only mean that a website should be responsive to its users and owners. If the IT revolution was launched by the IBM PC and DOS, then what is happening today can be considered its successor. Laptops, tablets, smartphones, which all come in different sizes and resolutions demand full-scale efficiency of web designers and developers. These people need to show unparalleled prowess to manage to harness all the daily trends that are happening in the web world.

Responsiveness is a divergent process that forks off into the direction of site users and new devices that require special care. In such a constellation, you do not need multipurpose WordPress themes stuffed with dozens of ineffective options.

New methods in coding websites have enabled web developers to make their sites react in the same way to all the possible devices that access them. In order to keep that smooth flow on the go, we have to stick to natural and easy solutions. Websites need clear organization, fast navigation and witty content. If visual themes of any kind can add to that effect, they are more than welcome. Otherwise, they will just spoil the hard work of many contributors.

Your WordPress products and your shop will work better without such all-inclusive options.
